Summer Learning Journey 2018-2019 prize

Yesterday Emma came into our class and teach us how to be part of the learning journey the learning journey is in the school holidays and she said that our levels drop in the holidays because we don't do much work in the holidays but if we go to the SLJ our levels stay the same or they go higher and at the end of the SLJ your get a prize and if i win I would like Xbox gift card.

out of ancient rooks and limestone  Granite Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.

I would be able to turn invisible because I could just walk around and nobody will see me and it would be useful to get out of trouble.

Narratives,Characters,Questions
We are learning to ask question before, during and after reading to engage with the text and make inferences.   

what do you know about Narratives,Characters,Question.
I don't really know much but I know what some of these thing are i know that narratives are a story and in that story is a problem and hook sequence of event and orientation.

                                            Characters
Characters can be the main characters or could be the side characters and all of the Characters have some thing uncommon their personality.

                               Questions
A questions when ask someone a right or wrong answer characters might ask questions so thats what Questions is.

for the past week's we have been learning about how we can help other how to do a blog comment

In the last past week’s we have been learning about science and we have learnt about

For calendar art this week we have learnt to blend colors with paint.

The Hungi

Last week we had a hangi and i got to help dig the hole, so when I got there we dig up some of the dirt then the hard part was the solid dirt so we just ask our dads to takeover so they digged the hole and we shaped the corners with the spades the easy part was filling it back up when we had to put the sheets back on and it was fun to. We had to wait for the iron to true white then we put wet sacks then we just waited for the steam to cook our food.When I ate the hangi it taste like earth it was yum but it was kind of fake but it was yum.                     
                       

Measurement

For our strand Maths we have been looking at measurement. We have learnt that 1 metre equals 100 cm and that there are 1000 metres in a kilometre.

We have also learned how to measure objects around our school.

The most challenging thing about measuring is finding the right measurement

The activity I enjoyed most was doing cm because it was hard at first then got easy

My group measured the poach at how school and it was 5.30m long/wide. This measurement can also be written as kilometer

My Birthday

First we arrived at Timezone, when we went inside we saw lots of games but we all had to get some timezone cards.

When mum and dad got me a card I just wanted to go and play all the games but I had to spend it wisely.

So I asked my older brother if he wanted to play laser tag and so we did as we went in i could hear this noise coming from the wall.

Then the noise got louder louder and then the noise stop and laser startet to appeal we had to get on each side.

Finally, me and my brother had to go through the lines and tag the wall and then we got points. After we went back to my house and for the rest of the day we just ate.

Using our people powers-make their day

Today we talked about how we can make people's day. During this week I will make people's days by

• Greeting someone in to the school
• Complementing someone
• smile at someone

Week Later: This week I have succeeded with the make their day challenge. I accomplished 2 of the three challenges. Greeting people and complimenting someone. On Wednesday my friend and I greeted a visitor to our school and introduced myself. I was very happy that I made someone's day because it feels so good knowing that I made someone happy. 

Time explores

This term we have be doing Time Travel. It is a book with a bunch of activities in it. I my group, there is me, Cruz, Aston and Reuben. It is Math activities.

Spencer park

on Thursday we went to Spencer park to explore nature and we went to the beach and we had to make a 3D shapes out of sand and my team won.

Hey guys I think the bunyip should go live somewhere where there's mud,rotten food and yuck slime baths.

I know take him to live at the green monster shrek's house here's why.

He eat rotten eyeballs that come from rotten snails

He drinks Slimy water that comes from the lake just in front of his house

And he takes rotten stinky muddy bath that he does cannonballs in

So this is why the bunyip should stay at shrek house because they are practically the same species.

This week we have been learning about persuasive writing and of a book call bunyip in the billabong and we had to make the bunyip to go away or to say to the people if he can say. 

The moon evolving

In literacy this week Grandpa's great escape have been doing fact's and animation's about the moon Me, Levi and Matangi have created a slide show showing a animation and facts about the moon.

Today me, Conner and Hunter did robotics and we had to make our robot go straight turn go again

turn and then go straight again on the mat for robotics to go around.
